Cómo crear una cuenta en GitHub
Si necesitas un lugar para guardar y compartir tus proyectos de código, GitHub es el lugar ideal. Es una especie de nube personal para código, pero también una red social para desarrolladores. Ya verás como crear una cuenta es súper sencillo, te cuento los pasos a seguir:.
Accede a la página principal de GitHub y una vez allí selecciona el botón Sign up, lo verás en la parte superior derecha de la pantalla. Esto te llevará a un formulario de registro donde te se pedirá lo siguiente:
- Correo electrónico: Aquí pon una dirección válida, porque te enviarán un correo para confirmar la cuenta.
- Contraseña: Elige una contraseña segura
- Nombre de usuario: Este será tu «identidad» en GitHub. Puede ser tu nombre, un apodo o algo relacionado con lo que haces. Solo asegúrate de que sea único.
Cuando hayas terminado, haz clic en Continue.
A continuación para comprobar que no eres un robot ,es probable que se te pida seleccionar imágenes o arrastrar piezas para completar un puzzle, tras ello recibirás un mail en tu bandeja de entrada con un enlace de confirmación, tras ciclar en él ya tendrás tu cuenta activa. Si no ves el correo te recomiendo que visites la carpeta de spam.
Una vez que hayas confirmado tu cuenta, GitHub te llevará a Dashboard. Aquí puedes personalizar tu perfil para que otros usuarios sepan quién eres y qué haces. Algunas cosas que puedes agregar son:
- Foto de perfil para que tu cuenta sea más personal.
- Nombre, por si lo quieres indicar.
- Bio, aquí puedes poner una descripción sobre ti.
- Página web si la tienes.
- Links a redes tus sociales.
Ya tienes tu cuenta, ahora puedes empezar a explorar proyectos interesantes de otros usuarios o crear tu propio repositorio que es como una carpeta donde guardas tu proyecto. GitHub no es solo un lugar para guardar código; es también una comunidad que te permite colaborar con otros desarrolladores, aprender nuevas habilidades e incluso mostrar tus proyectos.
